Buffalo Youth Lacrosse Club

This registration session will allow you to provide contact information and submit coaching intentions. Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately.

You must first obtain an active USA Lacrosse Coach membership (valid through 08/31/2024) and then return to this Registration Session to complete sign up. 

If you have not already signed up with USA Lacrosse, please follow these steps:

• Step 1:  Obtain a USA Lacrosse Coach Membership
  • IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A CURRENT USA LACROSSE MEMBERSHIP: Click Become a USA Lacrosse Member
    •  Each coach must have their own unique USA Lacrosse membership.
  • TO LOOK UP/RENEW A USA LACROSSE MEMBERSHIP:  CLICK HERE 
• Step 2:  Return to this registration and proceed. Later in this registration session you will need to enter the USA Lacrosse Membership ID that you received in Step 1.

Coach Eligibility:

• All coaches on the sideline in-season (Spring & Summer) must have at minimum a valid USA Lacrosse Bronze membership.
• Each team must have a head coach who is a Silver Level Coach. ***All previous Level 1 Certified Coaches have been transferred over to Silver Level by USAL*** 
• Coaches certifications must be fulfilled at least ONE WEEK PRIOR to the start of your games.

Minimum Requirements (Bronze Level) 
(Included with USA Lacrosse coach membership for no additional fee)

• Valid Membership
• Background Check
• Abuse Prevention Course
• Cardiac Care Course
• Concussion Course
• Cultural Competency Course
• Annual Rules Test

Coaches who have completed:

• USA Lacrosse Level 1 in the past (online only, or full certification)
• Safesport Training (through another platform such as USA Hockey)
• Concussion Certification (through another platform such as CDC Heads Up)

will be credited completion upon validation by sending screenshots to BYLCsecretary@gmail.com   

Please include your USA Lacrosse membership number along with the team you are coaching. 
 

*All previous Level 1 Certified Coaches have been transferred over to Silver Level by USAL* 

All expenses incurred to become a certified coach for Buffalo Lacrosse are reimbursable upon completion of coach duties. Coaches must save receipts for registration and submit to Buffalo Youth Lacrosse Club to be reimbursed.  

Junior Coaches and Non-Parent Coaches are reimbursed at season's end.
